  • The only overlays allowed on windscreens are:

    • anti-glare bands that extend no lower than the bottom of the sun visors when folded against the windscreen (no print allowed below 100mm from the top of the windscreen)

    • stone guards overlay on goods vehicles and buses fitted no higher than the top of the steering wheel.

    • Front side windows must allow at least 35% of visible light through.

    • For commercial vehicles there is no limit for rear and back windows if the car has side mirrors. Click through to the official guidelines to see if your car classes as a commercial vehicle.

  • VLT stands for Visible Light Transmission — it's the percentage of visible light that passes through window tint film and the glass. VLT is measured including the factory glass, which already blocks some light.

    • Higher VLT (%) = Lighter tint
      More light passes through. (E.g., 70% VLT lets 70% of visible light in — almost clear.)

    • Lower VLT (%) = Darker tint
      Less light passes through. (E.g., 20% VLT blocks 80% of visible light — much darker.)

  • Yes, your car needs to be as clean as possible to avoid dirt and dust getting underneath the film. If your car is excessively dirty we may need to charge a cleaning fee.

  • To care for Paint Protection Film, hand wash your vehicle with pH-neutral soap and a microfiber mitt, and avoid abrasive cleaners or automatic car washes with brushes. Allow the film to cure for 5–7 days after installation, and use a PPF-safe sealant or ceramic coating for added protection.
